On Saturday, August 27th, our Mbuna Kids competition team went out to the F2W Open and did phenomenal!  We went in with 7 kids, and left back home with 10 medals!  We have not all competed as a team in awhile, but it was nice to see all the kids go out there and do what they have wanted to do all summer!  They definitely went really hard in their preparation for this tournament.  Not only did these kids get all their Friday practices in, they woke up at 8am to get ANOTHER practice in the day after!  What kid do you know likes to wake up at 7am on a Saturday morning?  I know most would rather be eating cereal, and watching cartoons!  The best part about this tournament was seeing all the camaraderie created through this training camp.  These kids realized very quickly what it means to be on a team.  Not one kid was not being cheered on by their fellow team members, and it was amazing to see everyone put all their hard work in to get their goals accomplished.

We are happy to see all these kids in their Mbuna Gi's, ready to throw down for themselves!  It is amazing what these kids can do, and with a little bit of guidance, we know they can do anything they put their minds to!  We can not wait to see how they do at the next tournament!

A Successful 303 Summer Party

Last Saturday afternoon, on August 12th, the 303 Training Center held their annual Jiu Jitsu Belt Promotion and Summer Party. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as members and their families gathered to witness the promotion of several belt levels. The party was a success, thanks to the contributions of everyone who attended.

During the event, we witnessed three new Jiu Jitsu black belts receive their well-deserved promotions. Along with many brand new brown, purple, and blue belts were congratulated and applauded for their progression.

Following the promotion ceremony, the Marathon Randori ensued with over 50 participants at the start. It was a grueling and intense 3-hour battle of endurance. With only five participants remaining, the crowd watched amazed as 15-year-old Ollin Quintana fought his way to the top, emerging as the last man standing. He accomplished the impossible and ended up being the winner of a brand new 303 Training Center GI. This feat is not something that can easily be duplicated, and it indeed deserves recognition. It was an awe-inspiring moment for everyone who witnessed it.

The celebration didn't stop there. The 303 Training Center threw a fun-filled party not just for the adults but also for their children. Cleverly, we had installed a foam and bubble machine which ran throughout the afternoon, and the kids played and laughed with each other. It was a fun-filled day for all, and we are grateful to the parents who brought food and drinks and most of all, their enthusiastic energy.

We are thrilled and elated with the success of our 13th annual Summer Party and Belt Promotion. To the entire 303 Training Center community, we appreciate everyone for your unwavering support and dedication towards maintaining an exceptional training center. Cheers to another successful year, and we can’t wait to see what's in store for the next promotion ceremony!

The Explosion of Teenage Jiu Jitsu in America!

Jiu jitsu has become increasingly popular in recent years, particularly among teenagers. One of the best places to witness this trend is at the 303 Training Center, which has seen a surge of interest from young practitioners. At this facility, we've witnessed some incredible teenage talent, with many competing and achieving remarkable success. One upcoming competitor is 15-year-old Ollin Quintana, who will be grappling in his first professional jiu jitsu match debut tonight. But, he's not alone - many of our teens have been making waves in the sport, and we're thrilled to share some of their stories with you.

First up, we have Lola and Ari Hen, two sisters with an impressive list of accomplishments under their belts. The younger of the two, 14-year-old Lola who wrestles at Legacy High School. Lola has been on the Mbuna team for over four years and has claimed two golds and one silver in competition this year. Meanwhile, her 17-year-old sister, Ari, has recently defeated her opponents and won gold in the women's adult division. Not content to rest on her laurels, Ari is also a kids coach and just received her second degree on her blue belt.

Another impressive competitor is Logan Foy, who took silver in the adult male division at Tap Out for Cancer. It was an excellent victory that demonstrated his skill and determination, and we're excited to see where his journey takes him next. Another one of our teenage juggernauts is Danika Larze, who has achieved an enormous amount in just nine months of training. She's won her division in Naga, taking home a first-place sword, but her most notable accomplishment to date is placing third in the advanced division at ADCC Open in Denver last April. Truly a breathtaking feat for someone so new to the sport.

These teens are just a few of the many impressive individuals we have at the 303 Training Center right now. Some have been with us for over a decade, while others are just starting out, but all share a contagious enthusiasm and eagerness for the sport. It's been truly inspiring to watch them develop both their physical abilities and their mental toughness, learning important life skills at the same time.

We've noticed that more and more parents are becoming interested in jiu jitsu as they see how beneficial it can be for young people. In addition to the physical and mental benefits, it also helps teenagers foster communication and build confidence in their abilities. We're proud to be part of a growing community that values jiu jitsu and the positive impact it can have on young people.

The teens at the 303 Training Center are more than just remarkable athletes; they're a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and a passion for achieving greatness. These young practitioners have not only honed their physical abilities, but they have also developed a level of mental toughness that will serve them well in all aspects of life.

These are just a few of the inspiring stories that we have seen at the 303 Training Center. Teenagers like Angelo Basile, Peter Rocco, Devo Kunwar, Ava Sattler, and "Cool Hand" Luke Haynes have all demonstrated a level of passion and dedication to the sport that is truly awe-inspiring. Landon Kirk, Heroes Coach TJ Glass, Vince Pauly, Jace Valdez, Diego Muro, Asher Wilcox, and many others have also shown incredible improvements and dedication over time.

These young athletes remind us of the importance of pushing ourselves to achieve greatness, no matter how old we are or how long we've been practicing. Their relentless pursuit of excellence in the world of jiu jitsu teaches us that with hard work, anything is possible. We're proud to be a part of this growing community that values jiu jitsu and its positive impact on young people.

We hope that these young athletes continue on to achieve even greater success in the future, both within the realm of jiu jitsu and beyond. May their stories inspire us all to strive for greatness, and to never give up on our dreams.

Get Ready for the Battle of the Featherweights: Nick 'The Mile High Menace" Montez vs Christian "C4" Hightower in SCL: Army vs. Marines 14

Calling all MMA fans out there, get your popcorn ready and witness one of the most anticipated featherweight fights of the year! On April 29th at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland Colorado, the tough and respected Sparta Combat League presents SCL: Army vs. Marines 14, with the fight for the SCL Featherweight Championship at 145 lbs between Nick 'The Mile High Menace' Montez and Christian 'C4' Hightower. Both fighters are as talented and determined as they come and this is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling and violent fights of the year!

Christian Hightower brings with him an impressive striking background, having spent most of his time competing in Muay Thai, Kick Boxing and Boxing. Out of his 3 MMA bouts, his 2 victories came by TKO, while his only loss was a close split decision in March of 2022. His striking skills are constantly improving with each fight and he is not afraid to let his hands fly, making him an exciting fighter to watch.

However, 303 Training Center fighter Nick Montez is the reigning King of Sparta Featherweight Champion, proving his prowess inside the cage by winning and completely dominating his past 3 fights. Nick is ranked 1st out of 51 active Colorado Amateur Featherweights and 16th out of 555 active US West Amateur Featherweights, according to the respected Tapology Rankings.

Nick's fighting style is very domineering and dynamic, combining powerful striking in both hands and ferocious grappling techniques with deadly positioning, making him a true MMA “Blue Chip” kind of talent and a very possible, if not likely UFC contender someday.

The most exciting aspect of this matchup is the clash of styles that will ensue. Christian's striking prowess will be put to the test against Nick's comprehensive fighting style, which includes an unpredictable style of grappling and striking. Nick's speed and tenacity will be measured against Christian's accuracy and conditioning. It all boils down to who wants it more, who is hungrier in the fight, and who executes their game plan flawlessly.

We expect fireworks from both fighters. It is an understatement to say that Nick and Christian will leave everything inside the cage. We here at the 303 Training Center highly respect Christian and his entire Forza Combat Team but we are very excited to see what Nick will do to defend his belt. Our hope here at 303 is of course Nick wins with ease and both fighters come back a little bit wiser and better.

Nick Montez is one of the 303 Training Center’s most loved, talented and most exciting fighters. through out this camp he has been training tirelessly and sharpening his skills to a perfection. Nick has never looked better and is more determined then ever after his recent championship win in January, where he showed off his versatility, heart and strength, to win his first Championship Belt. So get ready, save the date, we are about to witness something spectacular.

Buy your tickets now by following the link below and putting the CODE  “MONTEZ” in all CAPS so Nick gets credited for the tickets!

Congrats to Sammy Carr on his Dominate MMA Debut Vicory!

The world of mixed martial arts (MMA) is a tough and challenging sport, where only the toughest and most determined fighters succeed. Recently, Sammy Carr, a newcomer to the MMA world, made his debut in a fight against also newcomer Domenic Pasqualicchio.  Both fighters put up a great fight but it was 303’s own Sammy Carr who would control the entire fight from top to bottom and wall to wall to earn the dub and celebrate the victory with his Spartan and 303 Training Center familia!

Sammy Carr entered the cage of his first MMA competition confident of his preparation, but saying he came well-prepared would be a gross understatement, with the help and guidence coming to him from ultra experienced MMA coaches and fight handlers Art Petrosyan and LT Nelson. From the very start of the fight, Sammy showed his dominance, making it difficult for his opponent, Domenic Pasqualicchio to land any significant blows, using his grappling and striking techniques to control the fight.

The three rounds that followed were proof of Sammy's exceptional technique as he continued to dominate the fight. Sammy's outstanding cage techniques combined with his grappling and striking allowed him to keep his opponent at bay and search for openings. Even when Domenic tried to get back in the fight Sammy never lost his focus and he kept going until the very end.

Domenic, Sammy's opponent, also deserves credit for putting on an impressive fight. It's always challenging to face an opponent as tough and well prepared as Sammy, especially in your first MMA fight. However, Domenic fought bravely and never gave up, showcasing that he could be a force to reckon with in future fights. Domenic's performance shows that MMA is an incredible sport that demands dedication, skill, and hard work.

Sammy's victory is not only his alone but also a victory for his 303 Training Center and Genesis Training Center teammates and all the coaches who helped him get the win. A special 303 thanks to Art Petrosyan and Lt Nelson who have trained Sammy and supported him throughout his journey. Their experience and  guidance without a doubt helped Sammy learn to  sharpen new skills and techniques,  making sure that he was more than ready to face the opponent that stood in his way.

Sammy Carr's debut fight was thrilling and exciting, it showcased the dedication and hard work that goes into becoming a successful fighter.

Thanks Sammy!  We are certainly  proud to be a part of your journey and will be ready to cheer you on and train with you next time on the mat!

The MMA Plumber

On Friday April 21st, Sammy Carr is set to fight for the Colorado combat club. This 32 year old has been training at 303 since December 2018, determined to make his dream of fighting MMA a reality. When he's not running his successful plumbing business, Spartan Plumbing, he dedicates himself fully to MMA training, his friends, Dad and Dogs. His hard work and dedication have led him to this moment he set out for, where he will be stepping into the cage for the first time against  Domenic Pasqualicchio.  This will also be Domenics first MMA fight.

Sammy Carr's progress in the fighting world started with Jiu Jitsu and kick boxing private lessons aimed strictly towards his goal of fighting.  This process would lead him to strenuous MMA  sparring led by Coach LT Nelson and Art Petrosyan  This would eventually lead our MMA plumber to some kickboxing fights which he had great success in.

While running his plumbing business, Sammy dedicated himself to training and focusing on sharpening his fighting skills, building endurance, and improving his overall fitness levels. Sammy has emerged as a well-rounded fighter, ready to take on the competition and achieve his ultimate goal in competing in the cage.

Preparing for the event has been a long, arduous process that has tested Sammy's physical and mental abilities. During his camp Sammy's closest four legged companion "Sunny" had passed away.  Sammy has turned that grief into determination and will certainly be caring his friend with him in his heart this Saturday night.

Sammy Carr’s journey is an inspiration to anyone who has a dream and puts in the hard work to achieve it. He has shown that with the right mindset, dedication, and training, anything is possible. With the help of his coaches and training team at 303 Training Center, Sammy has been transformed from a hobbyist Martial Artist to a skilled and determined Martial Artist with a a focal point to beat up Domenic Pasqualicchio and get the victory in front of all his friends, family and Spartan brethren this Saturday night in Denver Co. We really look forward to cheering him on in his MMA debut and you can too if you purchase tickets below! Let’s go Spartan Plumbing!

…and if you need or want some Black Belt plumbing or a nice toilet be sure to hit up Sammy Carr by checking out his website.

Meet Ollin Quintana:

The 15-Year-Old MMA Prodigy

At the age of 15, Ollin Quintana has already made a name for himself in the world of martial arts. Despite being too young to compete in MMA yet, Ollin has primarily been training with the grown adults on his 303 Training Center fight team, and they all agree that he's going to be a force to be reckoned with when he's finally old enough to enter the cage. But that hasn't stopped Ollin from already making waves in other disciplines – The young teen has competed and won in the FTW and other Grappling Industries BJJ advanced divisions since he was small and he very recently went an undefeated 39-0 to win a Jr National Wrestling Championship, and just this last weekend, he thoroughly dominated a very tough teen  by unamimous decision in a Muay Thai Kick Boxing Smoker. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at the young superstar and what makes him stand out from the crowd.

Ollin's striking ability is now one of his greatest strengths.  At just 15 years old, he already knows how to deliver powerful, accurate strikes that can leave opponents dazed and confused. But his strengths are not just in striking – he's also well-versed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which gives him a  well-rounded approach to combat. With his combination of striking and grappling skills, Ollin is poised to be a real force in MMA when he finally gets his chance to compete.

While Ollin's talents in wrestling and BJJ are impressive, it's his work ethic that really sets him apart from the competition. Despite his young age, he's already putting in countless hours of practice each week, working on his technique, strength, and conditioning. He's always eager to learn from his more experienced training partners, and he's not afraid to push himself to the limit in order to improve.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the support of his family and coaches. Ollin's parents have been instrumental in helping him pursue his dreams, driving him to practice and cheering him on at competitions. And his coaches, particularly MMA Coach Art Petrosyn have been nothing short of amazed by his raw talent and dedication. They know that Ollin has what it takes to make it to the top of the MMA world and they're doing everything they can to help him get there.

Despite his obvious talent and potential, Ollin remains grounded and humble. He knows that there's still plenty of work to be done, and he's never content to rest on his laurels. He's determined to continue pushing himself harder and harder, with the ultimate goal of one day becoming a world champion. If he keeps up his current pace, there's no doubt that he'll achieve that goal – and maybe even more.

In a world where young athletes are constantly being hyped up only to fall short of expectations, Ollin Quintanna stands out as a truly exceptional talent. With his combination of striking, grappling, and work ethic, there's no doubt that he's going to be a major force in the world of MMA in the years to come. Whether you're a fan of martial arts or simply inspired by stories of hard work and dedication, Ollin's journey is one worth watching – and we can't wait to see where it takes him next.

Blood and Guts: Coach Danny Loses the Fight but Aces the Test

Last Sunday afternoon, the UFC Fight Pass had one of its most intense fights, with Coach Danny going head to head in the fourth fight of the Main Card. The fight was Coach Danny's toughest, and it proved to be a great litmus test in his young career. Even though he did not win the fight, the young and upcoming 303 fighter certainly passed every test in regards to heart and determination that a coach could ask for without getting the victory. Having fought a war, Coach Danny knows what it is going to take to be at the top of the division.

Coach Danny has always been a promising young fighter, and with each fight, he has shown skill and determination. His fight on the UFC Fight Pass was no different, and it was evident that he put all his training into the fight. Despite losing the fight, he showed resilience and grit, which are essential qualities in a fighter. His performance was courageous and it earned him respect from both his teammates and fans.

Coach Danny's heart is a clear indication of what it takes to be a successful fighter. Dedication, hard work, and discipline are key factors that contribute to a fighter's success. These are also the same qualities that Coach Danny has demonstrated in his career. He is not just a fighter, but also a coach, who knows what it takes to train kids, and upcoming fighters. It is, therefore, no surprise that he has been successful in both fields.

Coach Danny's loss in the UFC Fight Pass is a lesson that every fighter can learn from. Sometimes, the result may not be what you expected, but the experience is enough to teach you valuable lessons. For Coach Danny, the  fight simply highlights his strengths and weaknesses as a fighter and shows him what he needs to work on to become better.

Coach Danny's fight on the UFC Fight Pass was not just about him. He had a whole team of coaches, trainers, and supporters behind him every step of the way.  We want to give special thanks to 303 MMA Coach Art Petrosyan and also the entire Genesis Training Center out of Arvada, Co. They are the best at what they do.  Their tough team and support along with Coach Art and all the training partners at the 303 Training Center  was a huge contributing factor that helped motivate Danny to give his best in the fight. It is a clear indication of how important the support system is for every fighter. 303 Training Center and Genesis Training Center is a perfect example of a team working together towards a common goal.

Coach Danny's fight last Sunday was a great showcase of his heart and determination. Despite not winning the fight, he has taught us valuable lessons in grit, determination and fearlessness. His performance highlights the importance of hard work, dedication, and discipline. We can hardly wait to see Coach Danny back in the cage, and we know he will be better than ever. He is an inspiration to us all at the 303 Training Center, Thank you Coach, your blood spilt for the brand will not be forgotten.

Coach Danny Gonzales: Taking on His Biggest Challenge Yet

This Sunday, April 16th, the National Western Center in Denver, Colorado, will be abuzz with excitement as our very own 303 Jiu Jitsu and Striking Coach, and 2-0 professional MMA fighter, Danny Gonzales takes on the dangerous 3-1 Christian Strong from Mukilteo, Washington. Coach Danny is no stranger to the octagon, but this time around, he is facing his most significant challenge yet. With Christian's recent TKO victory in March and his formidable wrestling skills, Coach Danny will need to rely on his decade of jiu-jitsu training and superior striking ability to win his way to the top. Join us in supporting Coach Danny as he takes on his most anticipated bout yet.

As a professional fighter with a perfect record of 2-0, Coach Danny Gonzales has already proven his skills can be extremely effective in the cage. However, this Sunday he faces his most potent opponent yet, a tough wrestler with knockout power. Christian Strong is a bit different than Coach Danny has faced before, and this bout would undoubtedly be his most significant professional test yet.

Coach Danny's striking technique is maybe his biggest strength. His hard work through his highly skilled and very respected boxing Coach Jake Ramos out of Genesis Training Center in Arvada, Co , combined with his decade of jiu-jitsu training under 2X UFC World Champion grappling Coach Tony Basile, makes him one of the most dangerous up and coming fighters in the Bantamweight division. He is known for controlling his distance with technical strikes, waiting for the perfect moment to counter his opponent's advances. However, Christian Strong is an entirely different type of fighter, with his wrestling skills and power in his right hand, it's perhaps going to be a bigger challenge for Coach Danny to control the distance.

The upcoming fight is going to be both exciting and tense. Coach Danny has been preparing for this contest for months. His team at the 303 Training Center and Genesis Training Center has been analyzing Christian Strong's technique and developing plans to counteract his dangerous style. Coach Danny’s head MMA coach and fight expert Art Petrosyan will undoubtedly play a critical role in deciding the best strategy for this fight. His extensive training, discipline, and grit will help him to overcome his toughest challenge yet.

We believe that Coach Danny has the potential to dominate his opponents in the Bantamweight division. Another professional victory would certainly put the Colorado Bantamweight division on notice. We are confident that Coach Danny will put up a fantastic performance in front of his home crowd at the National Western Center.  Come out and show your support this Sunday for Coach Danny's upcoming fight.

Coach Danny Gonzales is one of the most exciting up-and-coming MMA fighters out there, having won both his professional fights so far. That being said, his upcoming fight against Christian Strong will undoubtedly be his most significant challenge yet, and we couldn't be more excited! With Coach Danny's technical striking and always dangerous submission skills, we are confident that he will be ready for whatever Christian Strong throws at him. Join us at the National Western Center this Sunday or watch the fight live on UFC fight pass to show your support and cheer on Coach Danny as he takes on the most anticipated bout of his career so far!

Lets go Danny!

The video of D’Anthony Muniz taking home the grand prize can be viewed  by clicking the pic below. Be sure to check it out and see why this year's Marathon Randori was truly something special!

Screen Shot 2023-04-12 at 1.53.45 PM.png

The 303 Training Center held its 7th Marathon Randori in spectacular fashion last month on Patty's Day weekend.  After 3 and a half hours of non-stop rolling, D’Anthony Muniz emerged victorious and took home the grand prize - a limited edition 303 Training Center Gi.

This was the 13th year that the 303 Training Center has been in operation, and over 60 people from our 303 Jiu Jitsu community participated in this exciting event. With so many people it was sure to be a long and exciting event with no telling who would be the last one standing. And it certainly lived up to expectations!

Muniz faced off with his friend and training partner Dennis Hrbach for the final match, and after what seemed like an eternity of back-and-forth action, Muniz won the match via flying armbar submission with less than 21 seconds to go until overtime. The crowd erupted with cheers as they watched Muniz take home the grand prize!

We are so thankful to have such a wonderful and fun community at the 303 Training Center and are so excited for the next Marathon Randori. The 303 Marathons are truly a hidden gem in the Colorado BJJ Community and we feel no one in the world does them better or quite like us.  We look forward to the next one and if you didn't join us last time then we invite you to join us the next time!

Support 303's very own Daniel Gonzales

Coach Daniel Gonzales is an exceptional Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt, KickBoxing and Kids BJJ Coach at 303 Training Center. At only 25 years old, he has been winning competitions for the brand since 2011.
Now, he has achieved another milestone by winning his second MMA pro fight via a slick set up and finish of a "Triangle Choke” and all in the first round! This impressive feat truly demonstrates Coach Danny’s technical ground abilities and patience in the cage.  Hopefully we have video to share here soon!

At the 303 Training Center, we are proud to support Coach Danny and his incredible accomplishments. We believe in the power of mentorship and providing our coaches and competitors with the tools and resources to truly be successful. With that in mind we want to take a step back and give a huge shout out to Jake Ramos and the entire Genisis Training Center team that is located in Arvada Co.  Coach Jake and his team have been good friends of ours dating all the way back to 2013. 303 Training Center Fighters;  Showing Class in Both Victory and Defeat

Last Saturday , 303 Training Center fans and members experienced a night of very mixed emotions. Coach LT Nelson fought an incredible fight against UFC vet "Violent Bob Ross" Luis Peña to become the 3X King of Sparta $10,000 champion. LT has competed in many fights over the years and has even fought many times in different weight classes. But LT's fight last Saturday was truly special and one of the very very best fights I have ever seen!    Unfortunately, heavily favorited (and for good reason) Coach Art Petrosyan fell victim to a perfectly executed triangle choke in the first round of his fight.  We are not going to call it a fluke because of our high respect for Charles his camp and his excellent and perfect application of one of our very favorite submissions.  We just aren't sure it would go down that way again if the these two pros should ever face off again.  With that being said, we tip our hats to Hybrid MMA and Mr. Hayward.

It’s hard not to be inspired by our tough as nails Coaches Art Petrosyan and LT Nelson.  Their successes—and even defeats—show us what it means to truly have a champions heart both inside and outside the cage.   We will always remember their courage during times of adversity, their willingness to learn from mistakes, and most importantly their commitment to excellence no matter what the outcome!   We are so proud to be a part of your journey Coach Art & LT, thanks or repping our team with such honor and class, we can hardly wait for the next one!   And finally, thank you to all the 303 fans and members that came out  and cheered on our fighters!

A Black Belts Nightmare

303’s current Head MMA Coach also happens to be one of Colorados very best WelterWeight Fighters and my good friend.   If you have never seen him fight and you are a fan of MMA then I promise you, you will be a big fan after seeing this man go after his opponents with a persistence that one can only describe as frightening.  He just keeps going, he just gets stronger, and he enjoys the hurt. No doubt he wants it more!  He has hate in his strikes.  These are the vibes he is throwing and all his opponents and fans can feel it.

Art "THE ARMENIAN NIGHTMARE” Petrosyan is truly a nightmare in all aspects of MMA.  Possessing heavy punches in both hands and always seemingly able to place well timed kicks, knees and elbows, makes this Armenian born fighter a very bad dream for anyone that cannot withstand his heavy onslaughts.  Not that taking him down is an easy task for anyone that is not an exceptionally high level wrestler but even then it is no picnic. On the ground Art is well versed in defense and submissions and not easily fooled and never surprised.  Art eats sleeps and breathes combat arts and has lived on the mat for over a decade grappling all the best Colorado has had to offer and wherever he may find them.  What does this all amount to?  Well for starters The Sparta Champion has not lost a fight since 2017 and has the youth, strength and experience to make a serious run at the UFC.

First however the 30 year old 303 Coach and fighter must get through a seasoned vet and very tough challenger by the name of Charles Hayward who himself is a Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and respected competitor with a total of 31 Pro MMA fights with 17 wins and  many of them over very well known and respected fighters. Mr. Hayward is what we like to call a “Game Opponent!”

So how will our 303 Coach handle this kind of fighter?

Will Art Stay away from the Black belt and batter him from a distance?

Will he put Charles against the cage and hold him there punish him and win that kind of way?

Or will he beat the Black Belt at his own game and take the fight to the ground and sub him?

This is why I love MMA!  There is so many ways to win… or lose for that matter.

Either way I would bet the yacht (if I had one) on Art Petrosyan!

Because of the fact I have personally witnessed his development for over ten years on and off the mat.  Seeing him time and time again working, training and fighting amongst the very best Colorado has had to offer.

Art Petrosyans MMA skills have been defined over the years in many versatile ways but one of the most defined ways for sure is he has defined the ability to completely dismantle an opponent with the particular set of skills in which Mr. Hayward possesses.

I mean that with 100% respect to Charles his skills and his entire camp.

We are actually big fans of Charles Hayward and love the way he grapples, carries himself and fights!  Just not so much in the case of this fight… and yes, I am bias.

All I know is I can’t wait to see these two true professionals throw down this Saturday night!!

Let’s go ART!!!!

This fight will take place this Saturday In Aurora, Colorado at the Arpahoe County Fairgrounds.

Purchase tickets below by following the link and putting “PETROSYAN” in all caps so Coach Art gets credit for the ticket sell.

The True King of Sparta

Have you ever heard of the term “Street Legend”?  The Urban dictionary defines the term as “A legend of the streets, someone who has earned respect through the streets.”

Well, if there ever was a version of “Street Legend" in MMA then certainly LT “SMASH” Nelson would be one name that jumps to mind immediately or at least it would for all that know Colorado MMA.

After all, at only 32 years old the South African native has competed in just about every sort of combat event one can think of.  From MMA at the top level to Bare knuckle championships that were won in a devastating violent fashion.  His Lethwei debut and victory is one of the best displays of all out fighting you will ever see. If you are not familiar with Lethwei then just think of the movie "Blood Sport"  He has also competed in Boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai and always at the utmost top Professional levels. His Glory kickboxing record is amongst the best in the World and all his fights and I mean ALL his fights are must watch tv!

Truly LT has seen it all in the combat sports world and has always fought and trained with some of the very best fighters in the world and almost all of the best fighters in Colorado since he was 19 years old.

Ironically Lt made his pro debut against the 303 Training Center back in 2011.  His fight was against our tough, relentless and loved Joe "The Sicilian Terror" Guerra.  LT won that fight after two bloody rounds via a submission. From that day on we would always have a special even profound connection with Mr. Smash Nelson who would later fight for the 303 brand many times, then while still fighting became the Head 303 MMA Coach from 2019-2022. During that time The South African born and loved 303 fighter would amount other incredible achievements.  Among these achievements "Smash" would win the very coveted $10,000 prize and “King of Sparta” Title TWO times in TWO different weight classes!

In the summer of 2022 the feared LT would move to Oklahoma where new opportunities would lead him to instant success in the bare knuckle boxing world including titles, instant classics and FOTY nominations.

Now he is back in Colorado and on a mission to defend his 155lbs King of Sparta Title and win the $10,000 prize for a record third time!

This card is absolutely stacked and to win it all our 303 Legend must get through all three fights including the possibility of facing well known and very respected UFC veteran Luis “Violent Bob Ross” Antonio Peña.

This has potential to be the MMA Event of the year!  Buy tickets now by clicking the link below and putting the code “NELSON” in all caps so Coach LT gets credit for the tickets!

This card will feature TWO of 303 Training Centers very own Coaches including our current MMA coach, manager and Sparta Champion Art Petrosyan!  If I could only pick 2 or 3 MMA event to go to this year than this would certainly be on the list! So Let's go scream our support!

Featherweight Champ Nick Montez!

Nick Montez becomes the new "King Of Sparta" Featherweight Champion and he does it in spectacular fashion! The "Mile High Menace" started off his historic night with a spectacular 1st round TKO in the Boxing portion of this event. His second fight of the night would take place under Colorado Amateur Kickboxing rules and would prove to be Nicks toughest challenge of the night. Nick would overcome his opponent through his relentless attacks and outright determination. This would win him a decision and the opportunity for the $3000.00 grand prize and to become the new Sparta Featherweight Champion.

Getting to this portion of the event is quite a challenge in itself, both fights have different sets of rules (Boxing and Kickboxing) but you also have to win both of those fights. Winning both gets you a chance to fight a three round MMA fight for the $3000.00 prize and Featherweight Title.

Nick came out the first round like a man on a mission that was as fresh as his first fight and he never eased up, not even for a second.  Any opportunity the "Mile High Menace” had to hit his opponent he did and he did so with what looked to be vitriol. Every punch was thrown with bad intentions along with every knee to the body and takedown. For three rounds Nick battered and beat his opponent until the very last second of the last bell. This final display of power would earn him the victory, the Featherweight Title the $3000.00 and only the second 303 Training Center fighter in a decade to win this unbelievably challenging MMA event.

We want to send our gratitude to all of Nick's opponents for the evening who were all tough, skilled, and game opponents. A special thanks to Jeff Cisneros and the entire Sparta Combat organization for always putting on incredibly well run MMA events.

We also want to thank all his Coaches, especially Art Petrosyan and Kevin Jacobe. Without them this hardly would have been possible.

Along with our coaches we also had a great amount of help from Jake Ramos and the entire Genesis Academy.  Please check them out if you are in the Arvada area and want the best MMA academy in Colorado. Tell them 303 sent you!

And finally, we want to say, Thanks to Nick Montez for representing the 303 Training Center, his coaches, family friends and fans with such class, honor and respect. You truly represent all the characteristics of a great champion. We can hardly wait to see what the future brings for you Nick! Your accomplishment will always be remembered here at 303!

$3000.00 Prize On The Line For The Mile High Menace

In a sport full of nicknames, you might be hard pressed to find a fighter with a better suited nickname for their style than Nick Montez.

The 26 year old up and coming 303 Training Center fighter fights with a ferocity, power and seemingly endless gas tank that will surely make you a fan from the moment the bell rings.

As an amateur fighter The Mile High Menace is as well rounded as any up and coming professional fighter which makes him a true threat to all contenders no matter where the fight may go.

Why is being well rounded so important? Well outside the obvious reasons... being well rounded is particularly valuable when there is $3000.00 on line for possessing such abilities.

 Yep, that’s right $3000.00.

"Wait" you might say!

Nick is a 2-0 amateur fighter, how can he make $3000.00?  You would be right to wonder such a question.

Just to give you a little context on how much money that is for a fighter. Let's just say most all fighters making their professional debut only make $500.00 to show and $500.00 to win.

So, this is definitely an unbelievable opportunity for any fighter much less an amateur fighter.

The way Nick can accomplish this is by winning the very prestigious "KING OF SPARTA FEATHERWEIGHT ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT” on January 21st at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colorado.

The tournament itself is a unique one of a kind tournament that requires fighters to participate in a Boxing match, Kickboxing match and an MMA fight all in one night!

This is a single elimination tournament so to win it all and the $3000.00 prize you must win all three fights in the order mentioned above.

Nick Montez is truly an up and coming star and there has not been a 303 Training Center fighter better equipped to win this tournament since the last time we witnessed Coach LT “Smash" Nelson become The King of Sparta and win it all in dramatic fashion at the professional level twice in two different weight classes!

Buy your tickets now by following the link below and putting the CODE  “MONTEZ” in all CAPS so Nick gets credited for the tickets!

So bring your loudest cheers and join your 303 Training Center Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing family on the 21st of this month as Nick “The Mile High Menace” looks to make his name live forever in the halls of the 303 Training Center by becoming the 2nd fighter off our mats to be the next KING OF SPARTA!
