Get Ready for the Battle of the Featherweights: Nick 'The Mile High Menace" Montez vs Christian "C4" Hightower in SCL: Army vs. Marines 14

Calling all MMA fans out there, get your popcorn ready and witness one of the most anticipated featherweight fights of the year! On April 29th at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland Colorado, the tough and respected Sparta Combat League presents SCL: Army vs. Marines 14, with the fight for the SCL Featherweight Championship at 145 lbs between Nick 'The Mile High Menace' Montez and Christian 'C4' Hightower. Both fighters are as talented and determined as they come and this is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling and violent fights of the year!

Christian Hightower brings with him an impressive striking background, having spent most of his time competing in Muay Thai, Kick Boxing and Boxing. Out of his 3 MMA bouts, his 2 victories came by TKO, while his only loss was a close split decision in March of 2022. His striking skills are constantly improving with each fight and he is not afraid to let his hands fly, making him an exciting fighter to watch.

However, 303 Training Center fighter Nick Montez is the reigning King of Sparta Featherweight Champion, proving his prowess inside the cage by winning and completely dominating his past 3 fights. Nick is ranked 1st out of 51 active Colorado Amateur Featherweights and 16th out of 555 active US West Amateur Featherweights, according to the respected Tapology Rankings.  https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/334564-nick-montez

Nick's fighting style is very domineering and dynamic, combining powerful striking in both hands and ferocious grappling techniques with deadly positioning, making him a true MMA “Blue Chip” kind of talent and a very possible, if not likely UFC contender someday.

The most exciting aspect of this matchup is the clash of styles that will ensue. Christian's striking prowess will be put to the test against Nick's comprehensive fighting style, which includes an unpredictable style of grappling and striking. Nick's speed and tenacity will be measured against Christian's accuracy and conditioning. It all boils down to who wants it more, who is hungrier in the fight, and who executes their game plan flawlessly.

We expect fireworks from both fighters. It is an understatement to say that Nick and Christian will leave everything inside the cage. We here at the 303 Training Center highly respect Christian and his entire Forza Combat Team but we are very excited to see what Nick will do to defend his belt. Our hope here at 303 is of course Nick wins with ease and both fighters come back a little bit wiser and better.

Nick Montez is one of the 303 Training Center’s most loved, talented and most exciting fighters. through out this camp he has been training tirelessly and sharpening his skills to a perfection. Nick has never looked better and is more determined then ever after his recent championship win in January, where he showed off his versatility, heart and strength, to win his first Championship Belt. So get ready, save the date, we are about to witness something spectacular.

Buy your tickets now by following the link below and putting the CODE  “MONTEZ” in all CAPS so Nick gets credited for the tickets!

Congrats to Sammy Carr on his Dominate MMA Debut Vicory!

The world of mixed martial arts (MMA) is a tough and challenging sport, where only the toughest and most determined fighters succeed. Recently, Sammy Carr, a newcomer to the MMA world, made his debut in a fight against also newcomer Domenic Pasqualicchio.  Both fighters put up a great fight but it was 303’s own Sammy Carr who would control the entire fight from top to bottom and wall to wall to earn the dub and celebrate the victory with his Spartan and 303 Training Center familia!

Sammy Carr entered the cage of his first MMA competition confident of his preparation, but saying he came well-prepared would be a gross understatement, with the help and guidence coming to him from ultra experienced MMA coaches and fight handlers Art Petrosyan and LT Nelson. From the very start of the fight, Sammy showed his dominance, making it difficult for his opponent, Domenic Pasqualicchio to land any significant blows, using his grappling and striking techniques to control the fight.

The three rounds that followed were proof of Sammy's exceptional technique as he continued to dominate the fight. Sammy's outstanding cage techniques combined with his grappling and striking allowed him to keep his opponent at bay and search for openings. Even when Domenic tried to get back in the fight Sammy never lost his focus and he kept going until the very end.

Domenic, Sammy's opponent, also deserves credit for putting on an impressive fight. It's always challenging to face an opponent as tough and well prepared as Sammy, especially in your first MMA fight. However, Domenic fought bravely and never gave up, showcasing that he could be a force to reckon with in future fights. Domenic's performance shows that MMA is an incredible sport that demands dedication, skill, and hard work.

Sammy's victory is not only his alone but also a victory for his 303 Training Center and Genesis Training Center teammates and all the coaches who helped him get the win. A special 303 thanks to Art Petrosyan and Lt Nelson who have trained Sammy and supported him throughout his journey. Their experience and  guidance without a doubt helped Sammy learn to  sharpen new skills and techniques,  making sure that he was more than ready to face the opponent that stood in his way.

Sammy Carr's debut fight was thrilling and exciting, it showcased the dedication and hard work that goes into becoming a successful fighter.

Thanks Sammy!  We are certainly  proud to be a part of your journey and will be ready to cheer you on and train with you next time on the mat!

His hard work and dedication have led him to this moment he set out for, where he will be stepping into the cage for the first time against  Domenic Pasqualicchio.  This will also be Domenics first MMA fight.

Sammy Carr's progress in the fighting world started with Jiu Jitsu and kick boxing private lessons aimed strictly towards his goal of fighting.  This process would lead him to strenuous MMA  sparring led by Coach LT Nelson and Art Petrosyan  This would eventually lead our MMA plumber to some kickboxing fights which he had great success in.

Meet Ollin Quintana:

The 15-Year-Old MMA Prodigy

At the age of 15, Ollin Quintana has already made a name for himself in the world of martial arts. Despite being too young to compete in MMA yet, Ollin has primarily been training with the grown adults on his 303 Training Center fight team, and they all agree that he's going to be a force to be reckoned with when he's finally old enough to enter the cage. But that hasn't stopped Ollin from already making waves in other disciplines – The young teen has competed and won in the FTW and other Grappling Industries BJJ advanced divisions since he was small and he very recently went an undefeated 39-0 to win a Jr National Wrestling Championship, and just this last weekend, he thoroughly dominated a very tough teen  by unamimous decision in a Muay Thai Kick Boxing Smoker. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at the young superstar and what makes him stand out from the crowd.

Ollin's striking ability is now one of his greatest strengths.  At just 15 years old, he already knows how to deliver powerful, accurate strikes that can leave opponents dazed and confused. But his strengths are not just in striking – he's also well-versed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which gives him a  well-rounded approach to combat. With his combination of striking and grappling skills, Ollin is poised to be a real force in MMA when he finally gets his chance to compete.

While Ollin's talents in wrestling and BJJ are impressive, it's his work ethic that really sets him apart from the competition. Despite his young age, he's already putting in countless hours of practice each week, working on his technique, strength, and conditioning. He's always eager to learn from his more experienced training partners, and he's not afraid to push himself to the limit in order to improve.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the support of his family and coaches. Ollin's parents have been instrumental in helping him pursue his dreams, driving him to practice and cheering him on at competitions. And his coaches, particularly MMA Coach Art Petrosyn have been nothing short of amazed by his raw talent and dedication. They know that Ollin has what it takes to make it to the top of the MMA world and they're doing everything they can to help him get there.

Despite his obvious talent and potential, Ollin remains grounded and humble. He knows that there's still plenty of work to be done, and he's never content to rest on his laurels. He's determined to continue pushing himself harder and harder, with the ultimate goal of one day becoming a world champion. If he keeps up his current pace, there's no doubt that he'll achieve that goal – and maybe even more.

In a world where young athletes are constantly being hyped up only to fall short of expectations, Ollin Quintanna stands out as a truly exceptional talent. With his combination of striking, grappling, and work ethic, there's no doubt that he's going to be a major force in the world of MMA in the years to come. Whether you're a fan of martial arts or simply inspired by stories of hard work and dedication, Ollin's journey is one worth watching – and we can't wait to see where it takes him next.

Blood and Guts: Coach Danny Loses the Fight but Aces the Test

Last Sunday afternoon, the UFC Fight Pass had one of its most intense fights, with Coach Danny going head to head in the fourth fight of the Main Card. The fight was Coach Danny's toughest, and it proved to be a great litmus test in his young career. Even though he did not win the fight, the young and upcoming 303 fighter certainly passed every test in regards to heart and determination that a coach could ask for without getting the victory. Having fought a war, Coach Danny knows what it is going to take to be at the top of the division.

Coach Danny has always been a promising young fighter, and with each fight, he has shown skill and determination. His fight on the UFC Fight Pass was no different, and it was evident that he put all his training into the fight. Despite losing the fight, he showed resilience and grit, which are essential qualities in a fighter. His performance was courageous and it earned him respect from both his teammates and fans.

Coach Danny's heart is a clear indication of what it takes to be a successful fighter. Dedication, hard work, and discipline are key factors that contribute to a fighter's success. These are also the same qualities that Coach Danny has demonstrated in his career. He is not just a fighter, but also a coach, who knows what it takes to train kids, and upcoming fighters. It is, therefore, no surprise that he has been successful in both fields.

Coach Danny's loss in the UFC Fight Pass is a lesson that every fighter can learn from. Sometimes, the result may not be what you expected, but the experience is enough to teach you valuable lessons. For Coach Danny, the  fight simply highlights his strengths and weaknesses as a fighter and shows him what he needs to work on to become better.

Coach Danny's fight on the UFC Fight Pass was not just about him. He had a whole team of coaches, trainers, and supporters behind him every step of the way.  We want to give special thanks to 303 MMA Coach Art Petrosyan and also the entire Genesis Training Center out of Arvada, Co. They are the best at what they do.  Their tough team and support along with Coach Art and all the training partners at the 303 Training Center  was a huge contributing factor that helped motivate Danny to give his best in the fight. It is a clear indication of how important the support system is for every fighter. 303 Training Center and Genesis Training Center is a perfect example of a team working together towards a common goal.

Coach Danny's fight last Sunday was a great showcase of his heart and determination. Despite not winning the fight, he has taught us valuable lessons in grit, determination and fearlessness. His performance highlights the importance of hard work, dedication, and discipline. We can hardly wait to see Coach Danny back in the cage, and we know he will be better than ever. He is an inspiration to us all at the 303 Training Center, Thank you Coach, your blood spilt for the brand will not be forgotten.

Coach Danny Gonzales: Taking on His Biggest Challenge Yet

This Sunday, April 16th, the National Western Center in Denver, Colorado, will be abuzz with excitement as our very own 303 Jiu Jitsu and Striking Coach, and 2-0 professional MMA fighter, Danny Gonzales takes on the dangerous 3-1 Christian Strong from Mukilteo, Washington. Coach Danny is no stranger to the octagon, but this time around, he is facing his most significant challenge yet. With Christian's recent TKO victory in March and his formidable wrestling skills, Coach Danny will need to rely on his decade of jiu-jitsu training and superior striking ability to win his way to the top. Join us in supporting Coach Danny as he takes on his most anticipated bout yet.

As a professional fighter with a perfect record of 2-0, Coach Danny Gonzales has already proven his skills can be extremely effective in the cage. However, this Sunday he faces his most potent opponent yet, a tough wrestler with knockout power. Christian Strong is a bit different than Coach Danny has faced before, and this bout would undoubtedly be his most significant professional test yet.

Coach Danny's striking technique is maybe his biggest strength. His hard work through his highly skilled and very respected boxing Coach Jake Ramos out of Genesis Training Center in Arvada, Co , combined with his decade of jiu-jitsu training under 2X UFC World Champion grappling Coach Tony Basile, makes him one of the most dangerous up and coming fighters in the Bantamweight division. He is known for controlling his distance with technical strikes, waiting for the perfect moment to counter his opponent's advances. However, Christian Strong is an entirely different type of fighter, with his wrestling skills and power in his right hand, it's perhaps going to be a bigger challenge for Coach Danny to control the distance.

The upcoming fight is going to be both exciting and tense. Coach Danny has been preparing for this contest for months. His team at the 303 Training Center and Genesis Training Center has been analyzing Christian Strong's technique and developing plans to counteract his dangerous style. Coach Danny’s head MMA coach and fight expert Art Petrosyan will undoubtedly play a critical role in deciding the best strategy for this fight. His extensive training, discipline, and grit will help him to overcome his toughest challenge yet.

We believe that Coach Danny has the potential to dominate his opponents in the Bantamweight division. Another professional victory would certainly put the Colorado Bantamweight division on notice. We are confident that Coach Danny will put up a fantastic performance in front of his home crowd at the National Western Center.  Come out and show your support this Sunday for Coach Danny's upcoming fight.

Coach Danny Gonzales is one of the most exciting up-and-coming MMA fighters out there, having won both his professional fights so far. That being said, his upcoming fight against Christian Strong will undoubtedly be his most significant challenge yet, and we couldn't be more excited! With Coach Danny's technical striking and always dangerous submission skills, we are confident that he will be ready for whatever Christian Strong throws at him. Join us at the National Western Center this Sunday or watch the fight live on UFC fight pass to show your support and cheer on Coach Danny as he takes on the most anticipated bout of his career so far!

Lets go Danny!

The 303 Training Center held its 7th Marathon Randori in spectacular fashion last month on Patty's Day weekend.  After 3 and a half hours of non-stop rolling, D’Anthony Muniz emerged victorious and took home the grand prize - a limited edition 303 Training Center Gi.

This was the 13th year that the 303 Training Center has been in operation, and over 60 people from our 303 Jiu Jitsu community participated in this exciting event. With so many people it was sure to be a long and exciting event with no telling who would be the last one standing. And it certainly lived up to expectations!

Muniz faced off with his friend and training partner Dennis Hrbach for the final match, and after what seemed like an eternity of back-and-forth action, Muniz won the match via flying armbar submission with less than 21 seconds to go until overtime. The crowd erupted with cheers as they watched Muniz take home the grand prize!

We are so thankful to have such a wonderful and fun community at the 303 Training Center and are so excited for the next Marathon Randori.
